Carronade is a Cory Kent 33. She is a classic British-built cruiser known for its solid construction, practical layout, and comfortable accommodation. The Vendors were around during her production. This vessel has travelled from Aarhus, in Denmark, through Europe down to the bay of Biscay!
And Westword to the Isles of Scillies !
She has never faltered! Even when she was caught in a net, dumped by a French fishing boat, in a gale off the Channel Islands, she cut her way out with her rope cutter device!
She was admired in Denmark ,France, Holland a Belgium. I’ve had numerous offers for her especially in Holland and France; in Paris in the Arsenal.
Carronade’s mast was specially modified to be lowered to allow her to traverse the lowers bridges in all the canals of Europe, Even the Brittany Canal-from St Malo to Arsal and sailed to the Islands off Biscay,unusual for aboat of her size,
Her hard top was specially fitted, she is ,I believe a one off !
If you look at the symmetry of her shape she is a North Sea boat design for hard weather work, and she excels in her purpose! She has taken me every where and brought me back safely!
