Resolution is a 1988 Beneteau First 405 – once a true performance cruiser with great bones and endless potential, but now a PROJECT BOAT and although her engine appears to have seized and she has been sitting for a few years she just needs a caring hand to bring her back to life, because beneath the grime lies a solid, well-designed yacht. The hull is weathered and a little damaged, but the deck is in surprisingly good condition, showing that this classic has plenty of life left. Below deck, she’s better inside and does need cleaning there too, but she still retains that classic Beneteau charm and spacious layout. Her Perkins Prima 48hp diesel engine (will probably need to be overhauled or replaced), she’ll need new batteries and all round mechanical attention. With her sleek lines, roomy cockpit, and comfortable interior, this First 405 still has all the makings of a fantastic cruiser or liveaboard. For the right buyer willing to put in some work and TLC, she offers outstanding value and the chance to restore a respected yacht to her former glory.
There is a good amount of equipment on her, as you can see from the photographs, but as the batteries are flat and need replacing we have not been able to test anything, so we have not to list the individulal items. She would need to be towed to where she was going to be repaired.
She is priced accordingly.
